Thanks so much for checking out my work! A little more about me: my career has spanned museum education, historical archives, museum librarianship, and academic librarianship.
Through it all I have basically had “one foot with technology” and “one foot with people.” The real focus of my work in museums and libraries has always been to help take complex information and figure out how to share it so it's understandable.
That's what's led me to cartography: the job of the cartographer is to take complex geospatial data and use carefully-studied techniques to make sure that information is understandable to its audience. I find that effort endlessly, endlessly fascinating.
If you think I might be able to help you do the same thing with a thoughtfully-designed map--or even through archival research, historical maps, or more--don't hesitate to get in touch.
