A Cartography Lab project for a client who is writing a book about the ecological effect of mining, highways, and other human factors. This is the overview map with detailed maps in the same design family for specific sections of the route.
Tools Used: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Illustrator
Other Considerations: Grayscale map at 4.4 inches wide per university press design standards. Request from the author was an "old-timey map" design aesthetic.
