Tasked with creating a prototype guided tour showcasing some aspect of interest in my town and its vicinity to promote tourism, focusing on “a curated theme that is personally meaningful to you.” The tour was to follow a fixed, linear sequence of eight to fifteen points of interest. I chose Richmond's landscape of enslavement because it is a crucial aspect of the city's history whose sites are too often lost amid subsequent development. But they are there if you go looking.
